Synopsis

Twelve months earlier Veteran Jimmy Ferguson was hours away from taking his own life. Now coping as a dry drunk and working through his recovery he knew the emotional and psychological battles would be a continuous clash of mental forces, but he would draw his strength from those he cared for most to help him take each day as it came.

He had re-engaged himself with life’s existence and found that having a voice could be more impactful than having no legs. He was determined to set up his charity to support and speak up for others.

Here was a man who had the conviction to change the world, the will to enact it and the support to achieve it. But Jimmy would be tested in other ways when Lucy’s psychopathic ex-partner would come back to haunt her.

Jimmy had something to fight for and he would protect his family with every ounce of his being.

Veteran Jimmy Ferguson

For a brief moment, the room fell silent, seemingly holding its breath in solidarity with Jimmy. The memories of his military life, from the camaraderie and brotherhood to the intense battles and unimaginable losses, surged forward. These prosthetics, these Stubbies, embodied more than mere mechanical limbs; they symbolised resilience, strength and the unbreakable spirit of those who served their country.
