Poppy Scotland
Poppy Cycle Challenge 2024
Supporting Veterans and Our Armed Forces

My Story
I am a disabled woman with Cerebral Palsy. This has affected both my legs and my right arm. Participating in physical events while trying to raise money for causes closest to my heart is at the best of times, extremely challenging and in some cases impossible.
My Mission
Using my Motomed exercise bike I will cycle 9.8 miles nonstop starting at the Peebles War Memorial and finishing at the Walkerburn War Memorial. I have chosen this route because I am familiar with the area and both memorials. Not only will this challenge test my mental resilience, but it will also push my Cerebral Palsy to another level.
I have taken on this challenge to show my support for Poppy Scotland to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for veterans and our Armed Forces.

Mission Accomplished!
On Saturday, 21st September in my role as Fundraiser, I completed my second virtual Poppy Cycle Challenge by cycling 9.8 miles nonstop in 1hr and 13mins.
Through generous donations and huge amounts of support, I was able to raise £201.00.
With sincere thanks...
Poppy Scotland provides support for current and former members of the Armed Forces as well as their families. I am extremely proud to have played a small part in raising awareness and vital funds for Poppy Scotland.

I would like to thank Poppy Scotland for giving me the opportunity to show my support for their charity.

Exciting News!
Completing this virtual challenge also means I’ve hit my fundraising goal of £10,000! Now onto the next challenge of raising another £10,000. . .
