My Story

I am a disabled woman with Cerebral Palsy. This has affected both my legs and my right arm. Participating in physical events while trying to raise money for causes closest to my heart is at the best of times, extremely challenging and in some cases impossible.

My Mission

This year I decided to do something different by setting my own Virtual Fundraising Challenge. This monumental feat will start at Stirling Castle and end at Glasgow’s Cenotaph using my trusted Motomed exercise bike. This virtual challenge is 31.6 miles, with an estimated four to five hours of nonstop cycling for me.

I have taken on this challenge to show my support for Poppy Scotland leading up to Armed Forces Day to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for our Armed Forces Community.

Mission Accomplished!

On Saturday the 22nd of June in my role as Fundraiser, I completed my Virtual Fundraising Challenge in support of Poppy Scotland. The journey, which began at Stirling Castle and concluded at Glasgow’s Cenotaph, involved a gruelling five-hour cycle. Despite the challenges, the overwhelming feeling of fulfillment and pride stemming from the opportunity to support our Armed Forces Community made every ache and struggle worthwhile.

Through generous donations and huge amounts of support, I was able to raise £350.00.

With sincere thanks...

Poppy Scotland provide support for current and former members of the Armed Forces as well as their families.

I am extremely proud to have played a small part in raising awareness and vital funds for Poppy Scotland.

I would like to thank Poppy Scotland for giving me the opportunity to show my support for their charity.
