My Story

In 2020 my virtual Elephant Epic journey began! From completing 750 squats over eight weeks to completing a virtual cycle in 2021 on the same day and time as the physical Elephant Epic MTB Challenge that is held in Zambia and starts in Lusaka and finishes in the Lower Zambezi.

The Elephant Epic changed what is in most situations the impossible to the POSSIBLE!

This year I Am Taking On The Challenge once again!

Mission Accomplished!

On Saturday the 20th of August I participated in my third virtual Elephant Epic Challenge. By using my trusted Motomed exercise bike I cycled 75km non-stop with my virtual route starting in Lusaka and finishing in the Lower Zambezi in a new personal best time of 6hrs 14mins!

For the EPIC 2022, Game Rangers International is dedicating a significant portion of the monies raised to the new Wildlife Discovery Centre that opened its doors in August of this year. £250.00 can sponsor a Zambian school to visit the Wildlife Discovery Centre in the spectacular Lusaka National Park. The school children receive transport, a hot meal and an entire day worth of conservation education activities including an exploratory walking safari hosted by experienced Conservation Education Rangers, as well as a visit to the Elephant Nursery.

Growing up on a farm and living in the African bush I have an understanding and appreciation for the urgency to protect and save wildlife and wild spaces. By being able to participate in this event and show my support for Game Rangers International I also hope to raise awareness of the importance to educate future generations about conserving wildlife.

Through generous donations and huge amounts of support I have managed to raise £1,200.00 for my Epic 2022 Challenge, which will support 4x schools to visit the Wildlife Discovery Centre.
