Elephant Epic 75 Challenge 2021

Supporting Wildlife Conservation

Mission Accomplished!

My Story

I was born with cerebral palsy which has affected three of my limbs: my right arm and both my legs. In 2020, the evolution of the digital space during Covid opened up a whole new virtual world of possibilities for me. For the first time, I am able to show my support by participating in fundraising events.

My Mission

Cycle 75km in 48hrs. I will set off on the same day and time of the official event using my Motomed exercise bike. My virtual route will follow the same physical distance as the official race which starts in Lusaka and finishes in the Lower Zambezi.

Not only will this challenge test my disability and my mental resilience, but it will also be the furthest I’ve cycled in a 48hr period.

Mission Accomplished!

On the 28th of August 2021, I participated in my second virtual Elephant Epic 75 Challenge by cycling 75kms in a gruelling non-stop 7hrs and 2mins and within the same timeframe as the physical event!

By using my Motomed exercise bike my virtual route started in Lusaka and finished in the Lower Zambezi. Not only was this the furthest I have cycled using my Motomed exercise bike, but also a personal best time.

This event hosted by Game Rangers International is designed to raise critical funding for Rangers on the front line of wildlife conservation. By being given the opportunity to take part in this event and show my support I also hope to raise awareness of the importance to educate future generations about conserving wildlife.

Through generous donations and huge amounts of support I have managed to raise over £1,900.00.

With sincere thanks...

I would like to thank Game Rangers International for giving me the opportunity to show my support for their organisation.
