About

Purpose

On the 11th of November 2019 I launched the Fit For Purpose Mission* (FFPM), as the official fundraising banner under which I would achieve my mission of ‘raising funds and awareness for wounded veterans’.

My motto is to soldier on, no matter what!

Now, officially in operation, I am delighted to be supporting and working alongside a number of veteran charities who share my passion and commitment to raise much needed funds and awareness for wounded veterans.

Note - Fit For Purpose Mission (FFPM) is not an organisation or a Foundation. It is purely my initiative, my call to action and the banner under which I achieve my mission to help raise much needed funds and awareness for wounded veterans. 100% of all funds raised go directly to the charities I support.

How will I achieve this...?

I aim to achieve my mission through three main objectives: -

Objective 01 – I am an author, and I am writing a series of books – ‘The Fit For Purpose trilogy’. These fictional stories draw upon my own personal life experiences as someone living with Cerebral Palsy and as someone who can relate to the day-to-day challenges of living with a disability. The ‘The Fit For Purpose trilogy’ is dedicated to all who serve their country.

Objective 02 – I feel very fortunate that I am able to participate in virtual challenge events using a specialised ‘moto-med’ exercise bike. This is my small way of being able to give back and to provide support directly to my chosen veteran charity. To date I have raised £8,505 and I will keep cycling and raising funds until I am physically unable to do so! Note - 100% of all funds raised goes directly to the charities I support.

Objective 03 – I feel very honoured to be able to participate in direct fundraising initiatives like the Poppy Scotland Appeal.  This takes place every year around the time of Remembrance.
